A Pakistani cargo plane went missing over the Arabian Sea on July 8, according to multiple Telugu media outlets including Eenadu, Sakshi and Andhra Jyothi. The Boeing 737 cargo aircraft, which had departed from Sharjah, showed a rapid descent and a sudden change of direction around 9:21 pm, officials said citing radar data. Radar and radio contact were subsequently lost, reports said. Officials expressed concern that the aircraft may have crashed into the sea, Sakshi reported. Pakistan's navy and air force jointly conducted search operations for 12 hours, BBC Telugu reported. Wreckage of the aircraft was reportedly located about 53 nautical miles from the port town of Ormara. Search efforts for the five crew members on board are continuing, according to BBC Telugu.
