S. Janaki (88), a renowned playback singer of the South Indian film industry, died on Saturday evening, according to reports by TV9 Telugu, Namasthe Telangana, and Chitrajyothy. TV9 Telugu reported the cause of death as a heart attack. Namasthe Telangana reported that she died in Mysuru, Karnataka. Reports said she had been undergoing hospital treatment for several days and was suffering from age-related health issues. Her granddaughter Apsara reportedly posted a condolence message on social media. According to reports, S. Janaki sang in the film music industry for over six decades. However, details such as the cause, place, and time of death have not yet been officially confirmed, the reports noted.
