Later, on July 23, drinking water supply was delayed in Hyderabad city and Medchal-Ranga Reddy district. Reports stated that water was being supplied about a week after booking with the water company. Namaste Telangana reported that water shortages had begun within Medchal-Ranga Reddy district. According to Namaste Telangana, insufficient rainfall despite half of July having passed meant the problem was continuing. It has been verified that water supply delays occurred within the Greater Hyderabad area.
