According to a 10TV report, the central government plans to change the format of NEET-UG, the entrance exam for medical courses. Reports say the exam will be fully computer-based from next year. Namasthe Telangana reported that the centre is planning to conduct NEET-UG 2026 over six days across a thousand centres. Reports also say the National Testing Agency (NTA) is considering changes for NEET-UG 2027, including reducing the number of exam centres. A TV9 Telugu report said the new system would be implemented in 500 cities. Reports noted these changes are under consideration following a paper leak controversy in a previous NEET-UG exam.
