The accident occurred at Satamrai, under Shadnagar limits on the Bengaluru national highway, according to Nava Telangana. Reports said the women were thrown into the air and fell on the road. Namasthe Telangana and Nava Telangana reported that two women died on the spot; Eenadu reported two deaths, while NewsMeter said three women died. The driver fled the scene, reports said. CCTV footage of the incident is circulating on social media, and a heavy traffic jam formed at the site. Earlier, on July 6, Namasthe Telangana reported a vehicle running into two women walking on a road, with the driver fleeing.
