Six people were killed in Daivalaguda, Shabad mandal, on Saturday morning, Namasthe Telangana reported, adding that the killings were allegedly carried out in anger over the registration of a POCSO case. Following the incident, family members, relatives and locals staged a protest, demanding the accused be caught and brought in, with a dharna held on the Mumbai-Bengaluru link national highway from 7 am to 3 pm, according to the report. Amid allegations of negligence in the POCSO case investigation, authorities suspended Shabad SI Ramesh, Nava Telangana reported; senior officials also said a transfer action was taken against the SI. The protest was withdrawn after the suspension. BRS leader R.S. Praveen Kumar alleged the case accused had not been sent to jail even after 55 days.
